    • YOUNG, JEAN MARIE The passing of Jean Marie Young of Fredericton NB, occurred very peacefully at home on May 24th, 2008. She was 84. Born in Scotchtown, NB, she was a daughter of the late Otto & Mildred (MacFarlane) Young. A Loving Mother, Wife & Grandmother, a longstanding member of The Women's Ministries (Home League), Jean was a homemaker who worked side by side with her late husband, Frank in his many business ventures including "Bills Snack Bar", "Bills Restaurant and Pizza House" having also worked at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Jean is survived by six daughters, Mary Boreland (Ben) of New Maryland, Frances Lohnes of Fredericton, Sandra Hosken of Toronto, Ontario, Loretta Tapley (Ervin) of Fredericton, Anne Marie Michaud (Ron) of Fredericton, Bonnie Webster (John) of Fredericton; four sons, Keith Young (Betty) of Fredericton, Clair Young (Debbie) of Fredericton, Brian Young (Aurelie) of Fredericton, Mark Young (Denise) of Winnipeg, Manitoba; a sister, Ferne Anthony of Fredericton, 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her husband, Frank; a son, William "Bill" Young; two daughters, Susan Lynn and Sylvia Ruth; brothers, Clair and Lloyd MacFarlane; son-in-laws, Harold Hosken & Robert Lohnes Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road on Tuesday, May 27th from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 28th at the Salvation Army Community Church 531 St. Mary's Street at 2 PM with Major Leo Vincent officiating. Internment to follow in the Olivet Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family wishes to express special thanks to Jean's friend & caregiver Kathy Brown for the excellent care she provided for her while she was ill. In lieu of flowers for those who wish, memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army Community Church Building fund. Online condolences can be expressed through: www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
